3. What does it mean when I go to a secure site to give my credit information? A secure site means exactly that.  It is a site where no one except the vendor, with a password, can enter. These sites are considered very safe by the Internet community. If you are to give credit card, or other personal information over the net, look for a secure site.   Your browser likely will notify you when you enter and leave a secure site.   This sensing mechanism will let you know if you are indeed in a secure site. This is considered one of the safest ways of conducting credit card transfer of information.
